The public Connect download is not yet verified for RemoteEndpoints.
Learn the complete workflow without installing anything. Download the unsigned early-access tester package only after reviewing the open release and compatibility gates.
A matching public package, RemoteEndpoints plugin check, and installed production round trip have not passed together. Do not infer compatibility from source work, an older test, or a matching checksum.
Why source progress does not make this download ready
The reviewed LocalEndpoint Connect source now implements persistent account pairing, secure Windows credential storage, outbound check-in and work polling, private desktop-picture upload, prompt execution, private results, stop handling, credential rotation, and revoke recovery. That matching source has not yet been published as the current public download or proven in an installed production round trip. Use the interactive mock for evaluation until a matching Connect release is published and verified end to end.
No installer starts here: RemoteEndpoints.com does not mirror, proxy, or silently launch installer files.
Informed testers only
localendpoints.com
This tester package is not RemoteEndpoints-verified.
LocalEndpoints.com calls the current Windows package unsigned early access and not ready for broad public distribution. Windows 10/11 clean-machine qualification remains open.
Show the exact first-party package facts
Package facts rechecked against the authoritative first-party release record and exact artifact: . The package itself was released July 11.
Verification source: The canonical LocalEndpoint release definition, direct installer artifact, and its direct .sha256 sidecar agree. Stale aggregate download indexes were not treated as authority.
Outer setup EXE: Not Authenticode-signed; Windows has no verified publisher identity for this file.
Embedded app package: Locally test-signed with CN=LocalEndpoint Development, a self-issued development certificate.
Production identity: No production code-signing chain, Microsoft Store approval, or SmartScreen reputation is claimed.
Checksum boundary: A matching SHA-256 proves byte consistency with the first-party record. It does not prove safety, publisher identity, certification, or RemoteEndpoints compatibility.
Compatibility boundary: This package has not passed a current RemoteEndpoints plugin check or an installed end-to-end RemoteEndpoints round trip.
Every step happens visibly. Enabling the independent extension is the deliberate authorization for unattended remote control; there is no person expected at the computer for later prompts.
1
Review the official download
Use LocalEndpoints.com to review the current package, system requirements, publisher status, Windows warnings, and checksum. Do not bypass workplace or school policy.
Continue on the intended Windows computer only if the download details and full SHA-256 match and you accept the unsigned tester, clean-machine, and unverified RemoteEndpoints compatibility gates. A matching hash is not a safety result.
3
Install and enable the independent RemoteEndpoints extension
Confirm the extension identity in Settings > Plugins. Enabling it intentionally gives authenticated RemoteEndpoints operators unattended access through Connect AI, including private desktop pictures and the computer capabilities available to Connect.
After one-time account pairing, Remote control is active while the RemoteEndpoints extension is enabled in LocalEndpoint Connect and account delivery is not paused. Pause delivery or disable the extension to suspend unattended access; revoke the computer to end the pairing. Connect uses a short device-code setup to receive a durable device credential. It never receives your website password. Leave Connect running so it can send private pictures and collect prompts while you are away.
One-time setup handoff
What happens when you pair the computer
The setup handoff asks Windows to open the installed app and bind that extension installation to your account. It is not repeated for every prompt.
1
The browser opens a setup link
RemoteEndpoints can open a short-lived localendpoint-connect:// link during initial pairing.
2
Browser or Windows may ask first
Your browser or Windows may ask whether you want to open LocalEndpoint Connect. This expected prompt keeps the transition visible.
3
The website does not inspect the app
RemoteEndpoints does not detect installed applications, search the computer, scan localhost, or confirm that the protocol handler exists.
4
The setup code expires
Connect must finish initial account pairing before the short-lived setup code expires. Once paired, the durable device credential supports later unattended reconnects.
5
Confirm only setup you intentionally started
Cancel an unexpected setup prompt. Later remote prompts do not require someone at the target computer; pause delivery, disable the extension, or revoke the computer to end access.
Unexpected prompt?
Cancel it. Return to RemoteEndpoints, confirm the intended account and computer, and restart the one-time pairing flow from Connect.
Ready checklist
Before you leave the computer
LocalEndpoint Connect is installed on the intended computer.
The independent RemoteEndpoints extension identity was reviewed, installed, and enabled.
The intended RemoteEndpoints account is paired and the computer appears under My computers.
Connect is configured to run while you are away and the Windows desktop remains signed in and unlocked.
You understand that account access can become computer access and know how to pause, disable, and revoke it.
Not required
No hidden connection step
No browser scan of localhost, private networks, or installed apps.
No inbound router port, localhost scan, or private-network probe.
No pasted token, credential, private prompt, file, or log.
No RemoteEndpoints account for local-only LocalEndpoint Connect use.
Authorization happens during setup
Enabling the extension authorizes unattended control.
The website cannot inspect Windows by itself. The enabled extension gives the paired account a persistent path to receive private desktop pictures and direct Connect AI without a person at the target computer. Disable the extension or revoke the computer to remove that path.
